Christina Aguilera

Christina Maria Aguilera is an American pop and R&B singer, and songwriter. Her career boosted after recording "Reflection" for the film "Mulan". Her career reached to a greater height when her self-titled debut album, which was released in 1999 proved to be a critical and commercial success. A Latin Pop album Mi Reflejo, and a Christmas album, My Kind of Christmas, followed during this period and also sold successfully.In 2001, Christina, Lil' Kim, Mya, and Pink were chosen to remake Patti LaBelle's 1975 single "Lady Marmalade" for the "Moulin Rouge!" soundtrack. She took creative control over her second studio album Stripped (2002), which received mixed reviews and yet produced substantial sales. Aguilera's third studio album entitled "Back to Basics", which is released last year featured elements of jazz, blues, jazz -- a combination of music styles that accentuated her vocal talent. The singer's achievements have earned her various awards and five of which came from the Grammy Awards wherein she was also given sixteen nominations. Aside from her awards, she also proved her stand in the music industry by garnering a over 30 million album sales all over the world.
