Kate Beckinsale

Kate Beckinsale, who is Kathryn Bailey Beckinsale in real life, was born on July 26, 1973 in England where she lived most of her life. She made her first acting stint in 1991 when she was included in the cast of One Against the Wind, which is about the Second World War. She pursued a college degree in French and Russian literature at the Oxford University. She made her big-screen debut in 1993 when she appeared in Kenneth Branagh's film adaptation of the William Shakespeare classic Much Ado About Nothing. Among her other credits include Brokedown Palace in 1999 and Pearl Harbor in 2001, which emerged as one of the top grossing films of that year. Perhaps, she will be best remembered for her role in the 2003 classic Underworld, which had its sequel on January 2006 and the drama-comedy, Click, playing the wife of Adam Sandler. Kate Beckinsale is currently married to Len Wiseman, her director in Underworld. They were married on May 9, 2004. She also has a daughter with Michael Sheen, her Underworld co-star.
